Community-Richtlinien
Building an Inclusive Community
These guidelines help us create a safe, respectful, and supportive space for everyone in the neurodivergent community.
1. Our Community Values
🧠 Neurodiversity Acceptance
We embrace neurodivergence as natural human variation, not something that needs to be "fixed" or "cured." Our community celebrates different ways of thinking, learning, and experiencing the world.
🔬 Evidence-Based Information
We value accurate, well-sourced information that combines scientific research with lived experience. Content should be grounded in reliable sources while honoring community knowledge.
♿ Accessibility First
We design our community to be accessible to diverse cognitive styles, communication preferences, and accessibility needs. Clear language, multiple formats, and inclusive design are priorities.
🤝 Inclusive and Respectful
We welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and neurotypes. Respectful dialogue, empathy, and understanding guide all our interactions.
2. Content Standards
✅ Encouraged Content
- Accurate term definitions with reliable sources
- Personal experiences shared respectfully and constructively
- Helpful resources and practical information
- Supportive discussions that build community understanding
- Questions and learning - all genuine questions are welcome
- Constructive feedback on content and platform improvements
- Cultural perspectives that broaden our understanding
❌ Prohibited Content
- Harmful misinformation about neurodivergence or health
- Discriminatory content targeting any group or individual
- Promotion of harmful "treatments" like conversion therapy or dangerous interventions
- Personal attacks or harassment of any kind
- Spam or commercial promotion unrelated to our mission
- Doxxing or sharing others' personal information
- Content violating laws or our terms of service
3. Communication Guidelines
💬 Respectful Dialogue
- Use person-first or identity-first language based on individual preferences
- Avoid pathologizing language - focus on differences, not deficits
- Be patient with different communication styles - directness, processing time, and expression vary
- Ask for clarification rather than making assumptions
- Acknowledge when you're wrong and be open to learning
🗣️ Inclusive Language
Preferred Language
- "Autistic person" or "person with autism" (respect individual preference)
- "Has ADHD" or "ADHD person" (respect individual preference)
- "Neurodivergent" rather than "suffering from" or "afflicted with"
- "Differences" or "variations" rather than "deficits" or "disorders"
- "Support needs" rather than "severity" or "functioning levels"
🚫 Language to Avoid
Avoid These Terms
- "Normal" vs "abnormal" (use "typical" vs "atypical" or "neurotypical" vs "neurodivergent")
- "Suffering from autism/ADHD" (autism and ADHD are not inherently suffering)
- "High/low functioning" (use "high/low support needs" instead)
- "Retarded" or similar slurs
- "Just quirky" or minimizing language
